How To Download your Canva Template

In this video, I'm using the We are So Happy You're Here Welcome Board Canva template to show you how to download a PDF ready for printing.  

After editing the template, click 'Share' on the right of the screen.  Then 'Download'.  Next, change the 'File Type' to 'PDF Print'.  Notice I've clicked 'Crop Marks and Bleed' - this is only necessary if your design is at the very edge of the paper/board - so in this instance I didn't really need to click it because the design and words are far from the edges but it is worth noting this for any future design templates you may be using. 

Then click 'Download'.  Your PDF will download into your computer or Mac's download folder.  You can print your file at your local copy or print shop, commercially or online - simply take them the PDF on a USB / Jump Stick, email it, or upload it to their website if they have that facility. 
For smaller PDFs, if you have a printer at home, you can print on letter sized paper. 

ON A PHONE ON THE CANVA APP?
Having edited your template on the Canva app, you will see an arrow pointing UP in the top right of your screen.  Click that arrow and you will see 'Download' and then the option for downloading as 'PDF Print' under 'File Type', as above. 

'Bleed' is the part of the design that 'bleeds' over the edge of the paper and is trimmed off after printing.
